Newspaper Fashion

Paper waste is a huge issue in New York City, it accounts for about 72% of the waste stream. Newspapers are big a source of paper consumption since we usually toss out newspapers within the same day we purchase them. Since we all go to a design school, we applied our design skills toward raising awareness about the importance of recycling and minimizing paper consumption. For the project we designed and make dresses and accessories exclusively made out of recycled paper products and then hosted a runway show at our school to showcase them and raise awareness about recycling and paper consumption.
