We would like to make North Middle School a better and healthier place by offering our student body alternatives for eating and exercising. We would also like to promote healthy exercise programs. Our school is in a low income area so we don't have much money and our kids end up eating too much junk food. Many of our kids are homeless and live in hotels or low income housing projects. We have very few students who get involved in sports and other activities that involve exercise. Because of all of this, most of our students have or will have diabetes. Our hope is by teaching the kids healthy choices, our school will be a much healthier place.
