NPH Youth Ministry work
the problem:
I worked with the children of Nuestros Pequenos Hermanos orphanage to further their education and make them self-sufficient adults. I hope to help them become good citizens and Catholics, as well as individuals who can educate themselves, reach their goals, raise a family and break the poverty and abandonment cycle.

15why it's important:
These children are abused, abandoned, neglected and/or orphaned children. They are then adopted, with all their siblings, to this home to be part of the family. They grow up in a home full of love and opportunities for their future. I love that they are not adopted out. It is not a tempprary solution but a permanent one that equips them for their life on their own.
the plan of action:
I volunteered for two and a half years, raising money for the home, specifically for my youth ministry projects. I was the youth minister for 600+ children and lived and worked with them.
