Nursing Home Rebuilding

The nursing home/ hospitial was unbelieveably damaged due to disaster of Hurricane Katrina. In the basement, there was debri that was about 4 feet high, numerous amounts of water damage, grafiti throughout the building and other problems. The church that was responsible for demolishing and rebuilding the nursing home and hospitial recently received the "ok" to start working on this project in May. Many others have volunteered with this project ranging from middle to beyond college students to bring back an aspect of the community that has been there from more than 40 years.
