The Problem

As President of the O Ambassadors club at my school, Ann Sobrato High School, I am working to help five regions of the world (South Asia, East Asia, West Africa, East Africa, and Latin America) achieve the MDGs (UN Millennium Development Goals) that involve poverty, education, health, and sustainable development. In addition, I am making an effort, through O Ambassadors, to emphasize human rights in the areas of the world that do not receive their fair share.

Plan of Action

I hope to inspire my peers and other people to become a part of this wonderful project. I believe I can do so by continually hosting fundraising events at my school and in my community, thus raising money to help others. A few annual events at my school are the rummage sale (which is community-wide), the benefit concert, toy drive, backpack drive, coin drive, etc. I have more ideas this year, which I hope to execute.
