The Problem

All the Children are Children is reaching out to share the latest news about the deadly cholera outbreak and ATCAC's responses. As of last 3 months, the UN had confirmed 10,000 deaths and over 100,000 children and adults ill. There were reports of cholera spreading in all over the Country. The outbreak could be devastating as more than 1 million people are still living in cramped and unsanitary temporary camps around Port-au-Prince after January’s earthquake. All the children are children has work in Haiti for eight years and is conducting post-earthquake relief and recovery work in and around Haiti’s Countryside. We are responding to the cholera outbreak by teaching children and families about its prevention, supplying schools with soap and health post with medicines, distributing water purification tablets and speeding up construction of latrines. ATCAC will be constructing 1 commode at a time for each famlies who another wise will not have access to commode specialy in rural areas, such as Bas-Limbe, Port Margot, Bayeux, Terebodiere, CoCo Beach, Bor-de-mer, Novion, choochoo Bay, and others. It is expecting to serve a minimum of 5000 people. ATCAC goal is to raise fund so that it may continue to provide prevention teaching to children and families, and speeding up the construction of commodes.
