The Problem

Poverty is a global problem that we are trying to eradicate with our events that designate a certain area of the world that is suffering (i.e. Saigon Soul for Vietnam, Jam for Japan, etc.). By creatively making ourselves stand out, we get the community inspired to take the initiative to do something for the benefit of the world. From this, we help our community get involved in positive projects that change the way people live on this planet for the better.

Plan of Action

Our organization will first start out by selling merchandise and using social networking sites such as Facebook to spread the word of our organization. Once we get enough recognition we will start to host more events and provide volunteer opportunities for our community. In the past, we hosted a dance competition for the disaster in Japan, which about 200 people attended, and ended up raising over 1,500 dollars for the disaster relief in Japan. We also sold merchandise to raise money for Japan. Currently, we are working on a project to raise money for children with cleft palates as well as for homeless children in Vietnam.
