To Whom it May Concern,
Do you care about promoting a positive and economical environment in your community? We do!
A recycling program will be implemented here at Medina Valley High School! Within the coming weeks, a student will be dropping off a colorful recycling box to classrooms. These boxes are for collecting only paper waste. At the end of every week a student will be by to pick up the box and take it to the recycling bin across the street. This process will not only save many sheets of paper, but will also help in aiding out planet and our school AND it’s not a hassle for the teachers and staff!
So now that you’ve got the scoop, all we need are the boxes, and then we can do our part in helping our earth. Thanks for your support!

A Few Paper Facts…
 In 2005, the amount of paper recovered for recycling averaged 346 pounds for each man, woman and child in the United States. (wow!)
 One ton of recycled paper saves:
 17 to 31 trees
 275 lbs of sulphur
 530 lbs of limestone
 9,000 lbs of steam
 60,000 gallons of water
 225 kilowatt hours
 3.3 cubic yards of landfill space
 For every 100 lbs of trash thrown away, 35 lbs of it is paper.
 Newspapers take up 14% of all landfill space!!
 Commercial and residential paper waste accounts for more than 40% of waste going to the landfill. Eliminating this paper from our waste would nearly double the lives of current landfills.
