The Problem

Operation Christmas Child is widespread throughout the US right now. In my community, we've worked year after year to collect as many boxes as possible. But gradually, fewer boxes have been brought in. That means fewer kids being helped in third-world countries every year.

Plan of Action

This year, my friends and I are going to DoSomething about this dwindling. I am currently organizing a "Packing Party" for OCC this year. We are going to invite people to come to the local community center and pack gift boxes with us. Food is going to be provided; all the boxes are going to be provided by the local church; and my friends and I are collecting donations to buy packing material for the party. The goal is to involve our whole community in doing something special for underprivileged children. Not only will we help those kids, but we will also help build relationships among our community members.
