Opp-Guide

The Opp-Guide is similar to the "Zagat Guide" (which rates restaurants and hotels), but the Opp-Guide rates community service opportunities. This organization is solely written by teens for teens in the pursuit of linking high school teenagers with service organizations in their area at which they will enjoy volunteering. Any high-school student can write a review of a community service opportunity, specifically mentioning the benefits and negatives of each organization. The reviews help fulfill an important missing link between actually enjoying volunteering and merely “going through the motions” for high school service credit. Thus, through the Guide, teens can find an organization where they will want to volunteer and, hopefully, continue to volunteer long after their high school community service requirement is fulfilled.
