See It

For in-coming ethnic minority law students in Oregon (a VERY WHITE STATE), it's totally intimidating. So Opportunities for Law in Oregon ("OLIO")has programs to connect the students with each other (there are three law schools here), connect students of color with white law students who support our mission, and run educational and mentoring programs to connect with practicing lawyers and judges of all ethnicities. We will have an orientation in mid-August, and we are very short of funding. It's so important to have diversity everywhere, but ESPECIALLY in the legal profession. We want our ethnically diverse population to be able to find lawyers who know their cultures and speak their languages. In this way, everyone will benefit!
