The Problem

Currently Oregon School-Based Health Centers are facing a proposed 2.3 million budget cut in grants. As youth who will be directly affected from this budget cut, we are forming a state Youth Advocacy Council to raise awareness of the importance of school-based health centers and the impact that they have on youth.

Plan of Action

We intend to form a state Youth Advocacy Council to work side by side with the Oregon School-Based Health Care Network to raise awareness of the importance of school-based health centers. Our board will create a statewide marketing campaign and organize training events at the state capital for all youth involved with school-based health centers, so that they too can help in our movement at the local level.
