Organizing Youth Engagement

the problem:

We are trying to get youth in New Mexico to become more evident in their communities and become a driving force of solutions that evolve in their communities. OYE (Organizing Youth Engagement) conference will collect and connect these youth to help bring out their spirits and creativity to serve their communities.

why it's important:

The youth of New Mexico have so much drive and creativity but not enough attention. I see their obstacles and challenges; their poor communities and the lack there of. These youth are the answers to the peoples' prayers. OYE is the sign to show all the true potential these youth have and the willingness to make some changes.

the plan of action:

We have put together an agenda for the conference and working with partners to finish the rest. We also have meetings with youth to develop the workshops, panels, and events for the entire conference.
