The Problem

The history of OPRAA all starts in Ethiopia when Ms. Wulleta Dessalegn, the founder of the organization, met in Asela a family of four children whose parents passed away on the same day due to HIV/AIDS. The children were too young to be able to take care of themselves and did not have a close relative who could look after them. The protracted illness of both parents had also exhausted the family’s financial resources and left the children in total desperation. Overtaken by deep grief, Ms. Wulleta decided to take care of these children. She brought them to her home in Addis Ababa.

Plan of Action

OPRAA has designed the future children’s village which includes their living dormitory, clinic, and school and currently seeking any individual or organization willing to help the construction of the children’s village.

Project Updates

Just completed building a website for this wonderful family of children. I hope people out there will offer some assistance to such a philanthropist who has aided these children out of almost nothing.
