Public Spaces, Buenos Aries (Argentina)

My project is less about solving a problem and about raising awareness. The aim of the project is to focus on the accessibility of art; By working with, and within, the communities to produce a series of installations in and around Buenos Aries, Argentina, in June - July 2012. I will be in Buenos Aires working on a series of life sized relief prints (woodblock prints, sizes roughly 6ft/4ft). The images of the prints will be focusing on the Dirty War (a time in Argentina that was ruled by state sponsored violence and oppression) and how communities have coped over the past 30 years since Emilio Eduardo Massera's dictatorship was removed.
