The Problem
There are many local shelters and animal sanctuaries that, due to lack of funds, have minimum goods capable of making the homeless animals feel like they are loved, nevertheless keep them happy and warm.
Plan of Action
I have started making handmade quilts for the shelter animals. However, I have only had enough materials to make one- fabric isn't cheap. Once I have the funds to buy more fabric, I know I will be able to make many blankets for Safe Haven, an animal shelter of which I am fond of. When I have made enough, I will present the quilts to the shelter as a gift and relish in the fact that I have given the animals a small dosage of our love. We hae been volunteering with Safe Haven on the weekends and donating our blankets as well. So far we have donated twelve blankets, adopted out three dogs, and volunteered for ten hours.
