Sri Lanka is an emerald Island. But over the past 30 years it has been torn apart by a vicious civil war between two of its major ethnic groups: The Sinhalese and The Tamils.
The video urges both parties to forgive and forget the past mistakes and work together to rebuild the nation.

Youtube has many videos that are used as propaganda against the opposing party. But very few videos reach out to the other party. Therefore, we've initiated dialog through this video. All it takes is for a simple youtube video to go viral. Just the Sinhalese version of The video alone already has over 1000 views. The video urges both parties (Sinhalese and Tamils) to forgive and forget the past mistakes and work together to rebuild the nation.
the plan of action:
Tamils for democracy is moderate group that reaches out to the Sinhalese groups in an attempt to find common ground. We believe that the only way to end the 30 year old civil war is for moderate Tamils and Sinhalese join hands and show the rest of Sri Lanka that we can work together till a negotiated settlement is reached.
