The Problem

Segregation within the school systems is something nearly impossible to avoid, but there are ways to combat against it. American youth, including the student body at Cumberland High School, are very unaware of the issues that permeate the world around them.

Plan of Action

Through an ample amount of research and a few phone calls, the March of Dimes, The Tomorrow Fund, and the Cumberland Land Trust donated brochures, posters, bracelets, stickers, and other items. During lunch each day items will be sold in order to raise money for the afore mentioned organizations. Ribbons representing each cause will be given away so students can show their support. There will also be plenty opportunity to donate to other nonprofit organizations such as the Japanese Relief Fund and the Earth Day Network.
