the problem:
What is Neurofibromatosis?
Neurofibromatosis, pronounced neuro-fibroma-tosis, is a genetic disorder of the nervous system that causes tumors to form on the nerves anywhere in or on the body at any time. NF affects all races, all ethnic groups and both sexes equally. NF affects more people than Cystic Fibrosis and Muscular Dystrophy combined!

Raising money for people to find a cure for Neurofibromatosis would be helpful to those people who have it and to there loved ones. I found out about Neurofibromatosis through Michaela Bero. Her cousin has it. She has her own pennies from heaven in MA and i am helping her by making one in Augusta.
the plan of action:
I am changing the theme of Pennies from Heaven Augusta Style. I had a crisis here in Augusta and we couldnt go to stores and collect. Instead my mom knows some friends that own buisnesses and I am going to put a jar and a flyer about NF and hopefully have customers put alot of spare change in. At the end of each week I will go and collect the change out of them and keep in a big jar at home. Towards the end of the event I will go and cash all of the money in and then send it in !
how you can get involved:
Others can help by posting comments saying that they would love to help. And they can help by sending in donations or starting a Pennies from Heaven in their own area. Michaela has said to me once that she would love if Pennies from Heaven could be started all over!

HI Jessica ! You only live an hour away from where the event is going to take place ! If you would like to drive to Augusta and bring friends too that would be great ! But if you would just like to send a donation or even start one in Columbia that would be awesome ! Or you could always to both ! :)

I would love to start one here in Columbia and I'll ask my parents about going up to Augusta, but i was wondering if you were collecting money by leaving jars to collect change in local stores and restraunts or if you were actually going door to door collecting it. yes i am very excited ! but only one thing has changed. instead of people standing at the stores and collecting only for a few hours me and my mom are going to make buckets and put them at stores for people to drop change in and collect them a week later than send the money in. ((((:
thank you all who helped out with the project ! we made $135 from money people donated ! i will be sending in the money sometime this week ! i will also be posting a new project sometime this week as well so be looking out for that !!
