The Problem

Paws Love was started to relieve the stress on the humane societies by helping with providing both monetary assistance and volunteer work. Our mission statement is to create a better environment for animals all around and in our area. Our goal is to prevent the over-population in humane societies by organizing volunteer groups for humane society visit days. Our plan is to stage trips to area humane societies to clean pens, walk dogs, and love the animals!

Plan of Action

Our Core part of the project is organizing fundraisers and volunteer days. Part of this is the involvement of local youth groups that choose a day of the week to represent pawslove down at the shelter. Another MAJOR part of the project is that Kristen is an Advanced Placement Art Student at DTHS and in this she has volunteered her skills to the project. People send Gabby photographs of their pets, Gabby transfers the photos and sets up a contact with the customer. Kristen paints this photograph to the specifications of the customer. After the painting and photograph are returned, whatever payment we receive goes DIRECTLY to the shelter. Both parts of the program have been extremely successful so far and we plan to continue both.
