Peyton's Footprints
the problem:
Peyton's Footprints Organization was created out of heart-break. After losing my daughter to Osteogenesis Imperfecta and delivering her alive at 21 weeks, I felt it necessary to help other parents in my situation.
Peyton's Footprints is an organization that is federally recognized with a 501(c)(3) status. We assemble and donate "care packages" to local hospitals to be given to parents that deliver either dead babies or babies that will pass soon after birth. Inside each care package we include a small blanket meant for their small frames, as well as a small knit cap. A journal is included as well as the book "Empty Cradle, Broken Heart" a grief book specifically written for parents that loose their babies. We include a hand-made Peyton's Footprints signature bracelet with each box. The "care package" is all placed inside a wooden box that can serve as a memory box holding momentos such as pictures, tape measures, and feet or hand prints.

This sounds like an amazing project and I would like to be involved. I live near Yale New Haven Children's Hospital and Hartford Childrens Hospital. Please let me know how I can help!
