A significant part of the venture, and one aspect I am most proud of, was establishing a specialized program for each of PictureTheWorld's ten beneficiaries, who not only share our mission of serving children around the world, but are financially efficient, as well; allowing a greater percentage of donations to actually go towards the cause. Amongst the beneficiaries are UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital, Doctors Without Borders, and the World Food Program. For each organization, a plan of action was founded. If we were talking about 88bikes, a foundation giving children around the world an exciting new form of empowerment by supplying them with their own bikes: after working with the organization's executive director, we determined PictureTheWorld would be able to empower nearly six-hundred children in environments of war, poverty, disease, or social conflict-and make sure that this proposed result was sustainable by choosing sites that can (1) accommodate bikes, (2) safely store them, and (3) maintain their repair.
