Pigger Empowerment project.

Self sustainability: This project is tailored to meet the needs of local market and other neighboring towns like Kampala, Mukono, Kisoga and Nkokonjeru. There shall be increased knowledge and awareness on market for the pigs. Each lot of pigs will be sold after the first time it produces the first lot of piglets. Also, at least one of the piglets reproduced by every female pig will not be sold but will be part of the next stock. The size of the next stock must be equal to the existing stock size (equal replacement) or even bigger. The women under this project will be encouraged to adopt the saving culture. The direct beneficiaries of the project must create a trust fund. Every year, 10 % of their annual earnings will be credited (deposited) on the trust fund. This will be used to cover their project running costs in the next year.
