The Problem
One in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime. That means that nearly everyone has someone they know and love who has been affected by the disease. While there are many research and support programs out there, there are not many outlets for teens. We allow teens to become involved, educated, and empowered to get involved in the breast cancer cause.
Plan of Action
All of our Pink Ribbon Clubs have been started by teens who heard about us and wanted to get involved. Our plan of action is to continue to support this growth and to provide support and educational programming for teens to run thriving clubs at their schools. We hold an annual conference to bring the teens together and provide them with educational materials, fundraising and volunteer opportunities and ideas, general administrative support, and most importantly, inspiration and connection to other clubs.
