Plant A Tree!!!

the problem:

At Paint Lick Elementary, the children in the After School Program thought it would be a good idea to plant several trees around the school to improve our educational environment! So we got promission from our principal to plant seven trees all around our school. We picked out seven different areas that our trees would grow well in! One nice pretty day we went outside and dug holes and planted our trees. We water them if needed and watch them grow every week. Even though planting a few trees doesn't seem like a very big deal, the kids had fun being outside and playing in dirt and mud. they had to work togehter to properly plant the trees and they just enjoied the warm weather! They learned that trees give us oxgen to breath and we give them carbon dioxide. They learned the importance of our environment and all we need to do to protect it. So even though it may seem like only a small something the kids knew that they had atleast did something that would make a difference in our world. Even if it was only a small one.March
