The Problem
A group of dedicated student from Port Perry High School in Port Perry, Ontario looking to make an environmental impact on their school and in their community. Having being formed for merely a few months, the group has already taken part in many initiatives such as tree planting in both the school yard and community as well as a student"buy-out" to watch the compelling documentary "An Inconvienent Truth". The groups has big wishes and hopes for the club, hoping to host a community wide "Trashion Show" (a fashion show where all the designs are made from recyclable material) and converting their school cafeteria to an eco-friendly system. This is a student run group with two teacher advisors.

This seems like an amazing and successful project!
You should know that "An Inconvenient Truth" is not Science and is intentionally full of misinformation. Schools have no business presenting it as science.
The earth is currently in a warming cycle, but warming and cooling cycles have been going on for thousands of years. These cycles are caused primarily by solar activity and human activity has very little effect. Global warming causes rises in CO2, not the other way around. Al Gore and the rest of the "global warming industry" are set to make billions from things like "alternative energy" and "carbon offset payments".
Taking care of the environment is an important and noble goal that is being hijacked by political rather than natural science. Unfortunately, the sizeable part of the scientific community that questions the global warming fanatics are shouted down and/or their careers threatened.
