On March 1, 2008 myself and 3 best friends( we are all seniors in highschool) are hosting a breast cancer walk benefiting the susan g. komen foundation. The money will go towards women who cannot afford proper treatment and prevention. The course will be a 3 mile walk (3 laps around our whole highschool). The cost will be $10 per entry, and there will be AMAZING raffles, a bake sale, a change collection bucket where we will weigh the change and ask people to bring in their loose change to help save lives. There will be entertainment, fun, giveaways, food! and most importantly educational material to help people get informed and get the information they need. We spend alot of time planning and trying to get sponsors to help with our budget so it can be a huge success. This is be the happiest day of my life knowing i'm helping save someones life.
