The Problem

Daisy Love Merrick, a sweet little girl who grew up in Carpinteria with a loving family has experienced a terrible childhood. It all started one day in Kindergarten when Daisy fell down on the playground and couldn't get back up, she told her teacher "I need to go to the hospital" and "Call 911" The doctors gave them all the worse news possible, Daisy had cancer at the age of 5, and had a tumor the size of a Nerf football. The whole world changed that day for Daisy and her family, as she went through long surgeries, chemo treatments, and lost her beautiful gold hair, eyebrows, eyelashes, and most of her energy. Daisy and her family kept strong faith that God would heal her, and after a while her tests came back clean, little did they know that she would only have a month until she would have terrible stomach pain, and upon going to the hospital again, she would be diagnosed with cancer a second time. This time her tumor was the size of a grapefruit and required two difficult and dangerous surgeries to remove. The story of Daisy's struggles had been released and all around the world people were praying for and sending donations to Daisy. One day her parents saw her spinning a globe and kissing it, when they asked her what she was doing, Daisy replied "I'm kissing everyone who prayed for me." After her second battle with cancer, every day was a gift to Daisy and her family, she spent 12 healthy months spending time with her family and friends, taking horseback riding and dance lessons, playing with her pets, and just being a healthy 7 year old girl, but now there is devastating news, Daisy Love Merrick has cancer again. This time, when her tumor was removed it was only the size of a golf ball, but she had to have her spleen removed and will need strength and healing to go through the long weeks of treatment ahead of her. These treatments will cost half a million dollars even with insurance.

Plan of Action
