The Problem

In New York State when a babies dies due to Stillbirth there is NO acknowledgement of the birth process. There is NO Birth Certificate but there is a Certificate of Death. NYS does NOT consider babies HUMAN when it is medical malpractice in your prenatal care that contributes to your babies death, thus the doctor is NOT held responsible. New York State has the highest rate of Stillbirths in the Unites States, however other US States recognize stillborn babies as human.

Plan of Action

Raise awareness about Stillbirth and how it has become an increasing epidemic in New York State. With daily contact to legislators telling them the importance that recognize stillborn babies and the importance of research of Stillbirth and SIDS could save thousands of lives. Stillbirth remains to be where SIDS was 30 years ago- not clearly understood. For every SIDS there are 10 Stillbirth cases, yet the hospitals nor doctors have to report it.
