See It

After 8 years of raising over $84,000 for the American Cancer Society, I knew that something was missing.  So I created my own 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization called the HBBQ's Inc. (Has Been Beauty Queens) where I hold special pageants for children with cancer.  I have held 11 pageants in 9 states, and over 1400 children have been crowned.  What is special about my pageant, is that each child leaves as a winner.  No matter if they are pale, bald, or thin, they are all beautiful to me.  My pageant is headed to Canada in December, and Pennsylvania in the spring.  My goal is to hold a pageant in each of the 50 states.

What a simple an inspirational idea. Bringing joy and happiness to the lives of young people that could use some. I am sure each child you help will never forget the experience or your generous kindness and compassion.

That's a truly wonderful and inspirational idea! So many of the larger organizations seem caught up in the major goals, that the individuals needing the support sometimes don't visibly see the effects other than healthcare support.

Your project, however, provides the emotional support so greatly needed by all suffering from any illness.

Bravo!!
