The Problem

Progressive People Movement (PPM) is a non-profit organization currently in formation, designed to work with at risk youth coming from various backgrounds; to help them break free from the cycles of homelessness, incarceration, poverty and systematic and individual failure. Progressive People Movement was founded by Orayne Williams who is currently a sophomore in college. PPM is a network of extraordinary, young, progressive people impacting and changing the lives of unrepresented youth. We are shaping the future of our youth through our youth.

Plan of Action

The mission of PPM is to provide an outlet for at risk youths through various services which they do not have access to or which is not being provided to them. Thus, our plan is to provide services such as college readiness, mentoring, advocacy and overcoming obstacles. These are some of the ways PPM will help empower it's youth. Workshops will also be held on our college campus to encourage the students that their goals of going to college are tangible.
