The Problem

The problem that needs to be solved is the lack of knowledge in Basic Emergency Preparedness Education. Many people do not know how to properly give First Aid, how to properly perform CPR, or how to use an AED (let alone what it looks like). My project, works to fight this and works to train people, in accordance with American Red Cross standards, in basic lifesaving skills for First Aid, CPR, and AED use.

Plan of Action

My plan of action is to purchase the necessary training materials, and then begin to advertise the project/program on the Bethany College campus, to train students, faculty, and staff in basic lifesaving skills. My goals will be to have 10% of the school certified, so in the event of a disaster or emergency, someone will be able to step up, and save the life of a collegue, professor, or friend.
