The Problem

Project CREED develops and deliver scommunity-directed public health education materials that empower communities in underdeveloped regions. CREED stands for Children's Roots of Enduring Education Development and is the founding principle by which the organization operates. The goal is to build a sustainable model of public health education for children everywhere.

Plan of Action

Project CREED is a public health enterprise that provides regionally-relevant children’s health education books to communities in developing countries. While the company publishes a product, they more importantly embody a public movement for improved access to health resources. With its use of locally inspired children’s books on sanitation, hygiene and nutrition, Project CREED maintains respect for each community’s culture, traditions and education. Unlike  other  global  health  organizations, Project CREED  engages  cooperatively  with communities  and  partners  to  build  a  network  for success,  while  focusing  its  efforts   narrowly  on the  creation  of  creative,  culturally-respectful children's books. The unique approach  of  community collaboration  builds  lasting  relationships  that  allow for  further   engagement,  while  cultural  relevancy increases  book  use.  In  contrast  to  traditional  aid methods,  Project  CREED  equips  communities  with the  tools  they  need  to  improve their own lives, which  results  in  a  cycle  of  opportunity rather  than  dependency.
