the problem:
Project: EAT Right and Move
Sister of Size” is a non-profit organization that wants to make a difference in our community. We promote health and education awareness among teens. We believe we can me a difference one community at a time.
Objectives:
Members of S.O.S
• will be able to prepare a meal that is low in calories and fat
• educate others on healthy eating
• distinguish between good/bad carbohydrates
Activities:
A Volunteer Nutritionist will educate the members on the healthier eating habits and healthy preparations techniques for this activity. The members will be taught a 30 minutes exercise routine for the community.
The members will then prepare the food and present the food to the surrounding community. They will then introduce an exercise regiment, and interact with the community.
In addition the members will distribute health pamphlets and information on the nearest medical faculty for that area.
Goal:
The goal of this project is to “Do something” about the disparities among our youth, and adults. We would like to promote healthier eating habits in a fun atmosphere for our community.
