Project Education

When I was younger the one thing that excited me about returning to school was shopping for back to school supplies. Floral print notebooks, gel pens, and cool folders were enough to make me anxious to hurry off to school and use them. The right supplies make tackling any project a breeze, and it helps you to look forward to doing it. My goal is to help students feel the same excitement that I felt when I received brand new school supplies. My plan is to accept donations of school supplies, host fund raisers to raise money to buy the supplies that I do not receive through donations, and donate the supplies to local children who need them most. I plan to look at homeless shelters especially because I know the parents there could use the help. Some of the fund raising ideas I have are car washes, bake sales, a fish fry, pet walking, lemonade stands, and a jump rope competition. I will be using the entire summer to raise the money and come up with the supplies. I at least want to be able to donate to 25 students.
