The Problem

We are trying to solve the growing issue of bullying. Over the past few years, countless number of kids have ended their lives because of bullying. This problem is growing more rampant and dangerous. Children as young as ten are contemplating suicide because many of them are broken down to believe that that is the only way to escape the torment they endure. Project FAB works to educate kids about the dangers of all types of bullying while helping and mentoring kids in building their self-esteem to be brave enough to stand up and fight against bullying.

Plan of Action

First I recruited members from both my college and the community who felt just as strongly about taking actions against bullying than I do. At meetings, members formulated a plan on how to combat bullying in our community schools. We have written and produced plays that a has a strong anti-bullying theme to perform for kids in elementary and middle schools to show them how bullying looks like. After, we conducted anti-bullying workshops for the kids to show them the alternatives to bullying one another and what to do in particular scenarios. For high schools, Project FAB had begun to write, record and star in movies that we can go and show to high school students in our community. In high schools today, there is a dangerous rise in homophobic and cyber bullying and we want to educate teens of how their actions can truly affect the lives of their victims.
