The Problem

During Project Serve we went to three different Missions: Mission Adelante, Hope-Faith Ministries, and Mothers Refuge. The purpose of all three trips was to spread God's word and his love to all of the people there. At each Mission there were less fortunate people than ourselves who needed anything from someone to talk with to clothes and food. Day one we did home and yard maintenance for Mission workers and spent time with hispanic and Butanese children while their parents worked. Day two we served food in a kitchen in Kansas City, Missouri and prepared a new kitchen for construction. Day three we helped with Spring Cleaning at a home from young pregnant teens or teenage mothers.

Plan of Action

Our Church Youth Group and adult supervisors created this Project so that the youth in our church would have an opportunity to serve. The church chose to serve locally to show that you don't have to fly across the country or even the planet to be of help to someone. There are many things that need improvement and many people who need help right in your own back yard.
