The Problem
The problem that I am trying to solve is the econimic blight, mass transit, and infrastructure of Detroit. I am ultimately trying to help solve the decline of Detroit.
Why It's Important
It is important to me because I have a deep love for urban enviornments, especially Detroit. I want to see Detroit become the triving city it is supposed to be.
The Plan Of Action
My action plan is to use my knowledge of urban areas and urban renewal projects to build a better Detroit. Often times poeple are driven by the eye and experiences. My goal is to design and build an enviornment that people can live, work, and play.
How Can Others Get Involved?

Cities like Cleveland, St. Louis, Pittsburg, New Orleans, and especially Detroit have gone through more than decline but pure economic and social turmoil. Growing up in a Upper middle-class Suburb of Detroit you here and see many of the cities flaws from a povertly and unemployment rate higher than anywhere else in the country to a school system in shambles. I currently am going to school for U rban Planning and want to use the known that I gain to help create strong more self-sufficient urban centers. My idea of a succuessful urban center is one that is well diversified and densly populated with fast and efficient mass transit. I believe that successful urban centers should have immense employment oppertunities for its citizens and should attrack tourists as well as future residents.
