The Problem

Being an instructor for Tae Kwon Do; Our class wanted to do something that benefits the community. For example our problem was poverty within the community. So what our class did was teamed up with our local community action program. Then our Tae Kwon Do class went out and asked for donations for this cause! All the money that our Tae Kwon Do class raised stayed within our county, and went directly to families in need!

Plan of Action

Our plan of action was about 5 or 6 years ago, when we teamed up with our local community actions program. We decided that this would be a good project and it would serve the community well. Our fundraiser was between July and August! Our Tae Kwon Do class had two to three weeks to go and ask the local community for donations to support those who were in need! Once all of our money was collected we would put it into one big check and at our local Tae Kwon Do tournament we would present the check to our local community action program representatives. In the past 5 to 6 years out Tae Kwon Do class has raised over $20,000 for local families in need!
