The Problem

Our program focuses on the problems of those who are discriminated and forgotten because of their HIV/AIDS status. Focused in the Rakai District of southern Uganda, the Rakai Wellness Program offers counseling and facilitates nutrition projects for people who are HIV positive.

Plan of Action

Besides providing counseling, the program focuses on providing people with proper nutrition and hygiene. This includes cooking oil, maize flour, salt, sugar, milk, rice, soap, and pain-relieving medication. We believe that with this approach, we can raise awareness around those discriminated due to their HIV/AIDS status and along with empowering and educating people within communities, regardless of their HIV/AIDS status.
