The Problem

The community that I helped was the Randolph College Preschool.The children weren't learning anything outside and most the toys were crowding the children from playing safely.Also the teachers wanted an Eco friendly environment.I solved the problems by adding colorful flowers,a painting board, bird and squirrel feeders, and by positioning the toys differently in order to open the space up.

Plan of Action

I split the playground into 5 centers: Nature, Art, Communication, Sport,and Gardening. In the nature center, the children can observe birds and squirrels habits.In the Art center, the children can draw on the chalkboard picnic tabletop and paint on the painting board. In the Sport center, the children can play soccer. In the gardening center, the children can observe and take care of the flowers. In the Communication center, the children can talk through a talking pipeline that is fastened on the deck railing. Overall, I made an inspirational, creative impact.
