The Problem

Our goal is to prepare youth in our community to be able to respond to any disaster in which the professional personnel are overwhelmed or are not there in time. Preparing them and training community members in disaster responses can save lives. We are targeting youth because they are our future. The more they get involved now, the safer our community will be in the future.

Plan of Action

We plan to train members of our club in Greendale High School in CPR, AED, and Basic First Aid. We also want to give them the confidence to be able to take action when a disaster does occur. We plan to put our members through mock disasters, and keep them involved in the community by informing others in what to do during a disaster. So far, we have trained five of our current members.
