The Problem

Real Advocates for Diversity is a club that I started at my school along with others. It started as a support group for people who were trying to promote diversity among their friends and having a hard time with it. We sat around a table, talked about our experiences, and gave each other advice. As we became more successful at promoting diversity, the group grew into a club. Now we are one of the biggest clubs in my high school and we do several activities. One of the main objectives of our club is to create a safe environment for people to be theirself without being judged or discriminated against. There are no mean words or harsh looks in our club. Although this project is only at my school, I encourage anyone and everyone to start a club like this at their school. It is a great experience and you meet so many new and interesting people. Not to mention that it makes a significant impact on the school.
