The Problem

On September 4, 2009 Little Luke Holko was hit by a foul ball in the back of the head at a minor league baseball game. The ball fractured Luke's skull and left him in critical condition.

Why It's Important

~When I read this story in the news and saw the video on youtube it hit me hard. As a childhood cancer survivor I know what it is like to face unfair challenges at such a young age. It just doesn't seem fair. I wanted to reach through the screen and help the little boy Luke and his family right then and there. But I know this is reality and that hardly seemed possible. So I put together this project to benefit Luke and his family.

The Plan Of Action

~To collect as many bottles as possible and recycle them. To then donate the money to the Help Luke Fund. ~To get the word out there and have Luke's story be heard by the public. To let Luke and his family know that they are not alone during this time.

How Can Others Get Involved?

~Help to get Luke's story heard.

This sounds like a great project! Could you post a link to the video that you are talking about?- would love to take a look. Some pictures of the drive would be inspirational too! I am also a fellow childhood cancer survivor and I really understand your urge to help other children who are facing unfair challenges in their life. Keep up the great work and Good Luck on the drive!
