why it's important:

We're trying to create a standard system of recycling. To do this, we obtained blue bins from our district, which we labelled with a sticker explaining what can be recycled into those containers. The existing yellow bins in classrooms will be for recycling bottles. We distributed the blue bins to each classroom in the school, and notifyed teachers of the process that we're taking. For collection of the recyclable material, the special education classes will go around (probably once a week. Our club will trade off collection duty also.

the plan of action:

The process of this project included:
-Working with a represenative from our district to get the blue bins
-Labelling the new blue bins
-Distributing the blue bins
-Notifying our school of what we're doing
-Contacting the Special Ed. Classes to work out a collection process.

We will:
-Relabel the yellow bins in classrooms for plastic recycling
-Be sure that the bins are being used
-Collect material

This will ensure that our school isn't wasting resources.

how you can get involved:

Keep on recycling!
