Recycling in school
the problem:
I am over the recycling commitee at school. I recycle plastic, cardboard, ink cartridges, and cell phones. Another club does paper. I am planning on starting a collection of aluminum cans soon.

3why it's important:
We use many products at my school and I want to make people aware of it and the differences we make for our school.
the plan of action:
"Clean the Beach"- Homecoming activity I was over. Grades competed for class points. (my school is extremely competitive) We collected 137 32 gallon bags of plastic bottles. We had extra bags brought in that wasn't counted in that total.
"Benefit concert"- I am planning on hosting a concet for a certain project at my school and students come and play. Any money raised will go for benefit. Food and drinks will be sold with recycling bins at sight.
"Wishful Week"- Have bins set up for each grade to collect aluminum cans and whoever wins get to pick the music to play over intercom for a day.
Anymore ideas please post!!!
how you can get involved:
We have gotten the study hall to collect the cardboard each Wednesday. Teachers save it until then. It has taken a load off of the custodians.
STudents were invovle in homecoing recycling activities and each time they recycle daily at school.
Teachers save ink cartridges for collection.
