the problem:
We are collecting coats to warm up New York City's homeless this winter by involving the thousands of people in our school to contribute by donating their gently worn coats.

4,000why it's important:
I've seen so many people on the streets without jackets/coats to keep them warm, especially since the weather thus far has been brutal. I feel that it is my mission to turn these hobos into Eskimos!
the plan of action:
We campaigned and advertised in our school about this coat drive. We left boxes in front of the school for students and teachers to leave their donations.
