The Problem

We just finished a fundraiser for ActiveWater, an organization that provides clean drinking water to remote villages in Africa. We want to help people who walk about 6 miles a day for water, and then end up with dirty water. It's so sad. So by putting on this concert and fundraiser, we helped spread the word about such a tragedy in our world, and inspire others to help those people.

Plan of Action

We started by having a two week beverage fast with members of our community. Basically, for two weeks all you can drink is water, and you collect the money you would have spent on other drinks and donate it to the cause after the two weeks. We also collect pledges from family and friends during the fast to make even more money. This helps to raise awareness and funds. After the two weeks, we put on a benefit concert to fundraise more. We sold Collective Change wristbands to spread the word, and made money by selling food, drinks, and activities.
