The Problem

I want to help raise an awareness about female gential mutilation. This procedure primarly affects young girls in Africa in addition to the middle east. My goal is to raise money and education supplies to donate to the rescue centers that accomodates young girls escaping female genital mutilation. This center ensures education and career success without "the cut".

Plan of Action

My plan is visit the educational centers that are set up for these girls and volunteer as often as possible. I want to be able to conduct awareness campaigns in African countries without offending anyone. Education is the best stragedy in making the campaigns effective. By teaching people the harmful consequences of female genital mutilation, they will become more open minded and hopefully find alternative rites of passages.
