I love animals and I would love to help out in this Program. I myself have 5 rescue pets in my home. I want to make a difference and I don't like to see anyone or any animal on the streets going hungry. The more that I can help, the more confidence I have that I CAN make a difference.
My name is elycia. I own a pet sanctuary in Roan Mountain. i think what you are doing is a wonderful idea.. i would just be careful about the places you donate your money to and where you take the pets you find. I know that taking them to a shelter may seem like the right thing but, I have bee doing my research and 4 to 5 million pets are euthanized each year in shelters because they lack the space to keep them all. I had a friend who took her dog to a local shelter and then the next day began to feel bad and went back to get him and they had already put him down. i m not saying all shelters are bad just research the ones you choose to contribute to to make sure their priorities are really the animals and not their wallets. Good luck to you and i know you will make a big diffrence in your community. Stay the course.
